Marian Bozovsky

Marian A. Bozovsky, 97, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Hankinson, ND, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.

Marian A. Helgeson was born July 7, 1919, the daughter of Alfred and Minne (Egge) Helgeson, near Kindred, ND. She was raised on the family farm and attended country school. After finishing school she worked for nearby neighbors and later moved to Wahpeton, ND.

On August 14, 1943, she was united in marriage to Albert Bozovsky, in Jackson, MS, where he was serving in the Army. Upon returning home, they made their home in Wahpeton until moving to Hankinson, where they raised their three children. Over the years, Albert was a partner in Lingen Motors with his brother-in-law, Nick Lingen. Albert passed away in 1993.

Marian's later years were spent living in Fargo, ND, including three years with Don and Gloria Fornes at Home Sweet Home Elder Care. She was currently residing at Eventide on Eighth.

Marian's love of music was apparent throughout her life. From her early years, singing with her sister, Lorraine, for local events, to later entertaining her grandchildren with music. She played guitar, violin and harmonica often recording songs that were later made into a CD. Marian's sense of humor will be treasured by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Allyn (Lana) Bozovksy, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Pat (Roger) Finch, Moorhead, and Gary Bozovsky, Hankinson; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Oliver, Dilworth, MN; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; and brothers, Clayton, Milo, Burton, and Raymond.

A Visitation for Marian will be one hour prior to her funeral service.

Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11:00 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Hankinson, ND.
