Marian A. (Leintz) Miller, 81, Grand Rapids, MN, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids, surrounded by her loving family.
Marian was born June 28, 1924 in Lincoln Valley, ND, to Joseph and Hilda (Koepplin) Leintz. She graduated from high school in Anamoose, ND, and graduated from Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. She lived and worked in California for a short time, before returning to the Lincoln Valley area, where she taught in country schools for several years.
On July 3, 1947, Marian married Lloyd V. Miller and began farming. They moved to Goodrich, ND, in 1959, continuing to farm for 42 years in the Lincoln Valley area. Marian and Lloyd retired in 1990, and moved to Fargo in 1993. After Lloyd's death in 2003, Marian moved to Grand Rapids, MN.
Marian was very active in the Goodrich community. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She served on many church and community boards and committees. Her excellent cooking and homemaking skills made her home the center of many gatherings for family and friends. Marian was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo and worshiped at Zion Lutheran Church, since moving to Grand Rapids.
Marian was a very strong, honest, well-respected, and loving woman. She was extremely devoted to her family. In latter years, her world revolved around her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Marian is survived by a son, Keith (Linda), Moorhead, MN; two daughters, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Pepski, Plymouth, MN, and Karen (Paul) Leslie, Grand Rapids, MN; five grandchildren, Chris and Ann Miller, Alex Pepski, Matthew and Micah Leslie; one sister, Patri
Marian was preceeded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 24, 2006 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
Funeral Service: Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 2:00 PM, Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
