Luke Gunderson, age 37, of rural Pelican Rapids, MN, died in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND, hospital, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, following an intense fight against influenza and bacterial staph pneumonia.

Luke Timothy, the son of Gregg and Mary (Muhonen) Gunderson, was born in St. Luke's Hospital, Fargo, on September 12, 1984. He grew up and received his early education at Park Christian School, Moorhead, MN. He graduated from Fargo North High School, where he played both football and basketball.
After graduation, Luke worked with his mom and dad. He recently had been working for Tweeton Construction. He was very good with his hands, fixing things, welding, and mechanical repairs. Luke enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and had recently moved to Crystal Lake near Pelican Rapids, MN.

He loved his family, especially his children, Levi Timothy, who is 15, and Elise Angeline, who is 4. He was a good man, who was loved by many. He had an infectious smile and a big heart.

Luke is survived by his children; his parents, Mary and Gregg Gunderson; his brother, Noah; and four nephews.

Luke had received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, as a young man, and so, went home to be with the Lord in Heaven. "Absent from the body, present with the Lord". "And this is the record, that God hath given to us, eternal life, and this life is in His Son." (1 John 5:11, kjv)

Luke will be deeply missed.

Visitation for Luke will be Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, from 1 PM until 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. His funeral service will follow at 2 PM, also in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
