Lenore M. Haggart

Lenore M. (Stitz) Haggart was born January 12, 1924, in Redwood Falls, MN, to Leonard and Theresa (Matheson) Stitz. She grew up in the Wahpeton, ND, area and received her education in Wahpeton schools, graduating in the class of 1942.
On July 31, 1948, Lenore was married to Donald Daniel Haggart in Moorhead, MN, following his return from the U.S. Navy during World War II. They lived most of their years in the Fargo, ND, area, where they raised their family of three children. In 1954, Lenore accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and continued to live her life for her Savior until her death. Besides spending time with her family, Lenore was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, and especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, gardening and raising flowers.
For the last two and a half years, Lenore lived with her son, Stanley, in Lisbon, ND. She has required care at Maryhill Manor in Enderlin, ND since December 29, 2005. Until her final days, she would remind others to "be of good cheer." Lenore went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2006, at the age of 82 years.
Her devoted family includes her husband, Donald of Fargo; 2 daughters and a son, Laura Kay (Stephen) Johnson of West Fargo, ND, Stanley Haggart of Lisbon, ND, and Linda (Steve) Smit of North St. Paul, MN; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
