Lenora Adeline (Kirschenmann) Buck entered her permanent home on August 26, 2021, to be with Jesus her Savior.

Lenora was born on the family farmstead near Medina, ND on October 15, 1931 to Theodore and Pauline Kirschenmann. She attended country school through the 7th grade when the family moved to Gackle, ND where she graduated from the 8th grade. The family returned to the farm after one year and Lenora attended Medina High School, graduating in 1949. Being on the farm she learned to be a cowgirl, herding cattle and sheep and learning a good work ethic working side by side with her dad. She also learned how to cook and take care of a household from her mom.

After graduation Lenora went to Jamestown, ND, to attend Jamestown Business College and worked at the Crippled Children's School (now known as Ann Carlson School) for two years. It was here she met the love of her life, Arnie Buck whom she married in Jamestown on July 6, 1951. After her marriage she traveled to camp with Arnie since he was in the service, returning to Jamestown when Arnie went to Korea. In 1954, they moved to Fargo where Arnie attended Dakota Business College and Lenora worked for Bjornson Insurance Agency in Moorhead. In 1956 the family moved to Bismarck where Arnie accepted a job working for ND State Government. In 1960 the family returned to Fargo and Lenora went to work for Northwestern Bell/US West/Qwest retiring in 1990. After life at the Bell system, she did temporary assignments at Lutheran Health Systems and American Specialty Foods and in 1993 started part-time at Financial Planning Network (Now known as Ohio National Financial Services) until 2021.

Lenora was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, volunteered at Bethany Homes while her mother was a resident there, volunteered at Elim Care Center, and an active member of
Bethel Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed working with Arnie on Friday nights at Red River Valley Speedway. Lenora took tickets at the front gate and checked in crews at the back gate while Arnie worked on the pit crew for one of their dear friends.

Lenora is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Kent) Holmberg, Hillsboro, ND, a son, Randy (Pam) Buck, Henderson, NV; four grandsons: Scott (Kimberly) Holmberg, Marion, IA, Brian Holmberg, Coon Rapids, MN, Alex (Ann) Buck, Ankeny, IA and Keith Buck, Henderson; Six great-grandchildren; Erin, Adam, Nate and Kira Holmberg, Marion, IA, and Aiden and Addison Buck, Ankeny, IA; a brother, Fred (Carolyn) Kirschenmann, Ames, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnie, in 2007, her parents, five sisters-in-law .and one brother-in-law.

The funeral service for Lenora will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 1:30 PM, in Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, at the church. She will be buried beside her husband in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.

A Visitation for Lenora will begin at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021, followed by her Funeral Service at 1:30 PM, in the Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
