Irene Marquardt

Irene S. Marquardt, 70, died Monday, August 21, 2017, in her home in Fargo, ND.

Irene Sylvia Sannes, the daughter of Gordon and Lorraine (Westerberg) Sannes, was born January 21, 1947, in Moorhead, MN, where she grew up and received her education. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1965.

As a young lady, Irene moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked for Univac computer corporation and later for 3M. In the late 1970s, Irene returned to Moorhead to live. She worked as a bookkeeper for North Star Plumbing, she later owned and operated the "Dutch Maid Grill" in south Fargo, and finally worked for Eye Care Associates until she retired.

Five years ago, Irene moved from Moorhead to Fargo, where she had lived since.

Irene is survived by two sisters, Lorna (Gay) Rudrud of Moorhead, and Debra (Tim) Rowley of Kent, MN; a brother, Michael (Anna) Sannes of Kulm, ND; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Irene will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 2 PM, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
