Florence Gorrilla

Florence Clara Fischer was born January 6, 1927, in Sabin, MN, to August and Emily (Fuchs) Fischer. She was raised on the Fischer Farm near Glyndon, MN, and graduated from Glyndon High School.

Florence married Edward Gorrilla July 31, 1960, in Moorhead, MN, and they made their home in north Fargo, ND, where she raised their daughter, Heidi. Florence provided rooms for military veterans and their families when they came to Fargo during their visits to the VA Hospital. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and loved being a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo.

They had been recently staying with their daughter, Heidi and family, in Big Lake, MN. Florence died Saturday, May 16, 2015, at their home in Big Lake, at eighty-eight years of age.

Florence is survived by her husband, Edward; daughter, Heidi (Tom) Warnke, Big Lake;
grandchildren, Stephen and Kristyn Warnke, Nicole and Fred Binczik, and Kristine Warnke; great-grandchildren, Nakyah and Elise Warnke, and Abby Binczik; brothers, Wilbert and Donald Fischer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for Florence will be Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Her funeral will be Friday, May 22, 2015, at 11 AM, in Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon.
