Eugenia "Jean" Sciaccotta

Jean Sciaccotta, 95, Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.
She was born March 25, 1923, in rural Carrington, ND. Jean enjoyed lifelong hobbies of sewing, ceramics, and craftwork with three of her special nieces, Sandy Van Raden, Sheryl Patnaude, and J Dee Leary.
She spent countless unselfish years taking care of multiple generations of children and she will be missed by many.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Terrie Edna Counter; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Marjorie Kahl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter, Kathy Van Raden; great-grandson, Tyler Peterson; sister, Mary Emerson; brother, Lester Black; and her parents, Harry and Edna Black.
Visitation will begin at 9 AM, with a funeral at 10 AM, Friday, August 3, 2018, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
