Dorothy S. Krahn, 82, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, May 1, 2006, in MeritCare Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.
Dorothy Sigrid Johnson was born October 13, 1923, to Albert and Hilma (Franzen) Johnson, in St. Paul, MN, where she was raised and graduated from high school.
Dorothy entered the US Navy in November of 1942 and served until March of 1946. Following her discharge, she returned to St. Paul. Dorothy was united in marriage to Alfred P. Krahn, in St. Paul, in 1947, and they made their home in Fargo, ND.
They moved to Moorhead, in 1955, and Dorothy worked as an office worker for the federal government until she retired. They continued to reside in Moorhead. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion as well as the Eagles # 153 Auxiliary.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Alfred, Moorhead; a daughter, Barbara (Joe) Vandrovec, Fountain Valley, CA; and three grandsons, Travis, Brian, and Jason. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven; two brothers and a sister.
Visitation: one hour before the funeral at the church.
Funeral: Saturday, May 6, 2006, at 2 PM, in Grace United Methodist Church, Moorhead.
Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead.
