Cecilia E. Emerson, 83, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, November 21, 2020, in Arbor Park Assisted Living, Moorhead, MN, surrounded by her family under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Cecilia Emma Olson was born June 1, 1937, the daughter of Willard and Marie Olson. She was raised at Drayton, ND, where she attended school. Cecilia was united in marriage to Orville Olson and they made their home in Bathgate, ND. In 1969, they moved to Fargo, ND, where Cecilia worked for the lefsa plant in Hawley, MN, for many years. Cecilia later married Butch Emerson and they made their home in Fargo.

She loved doing yardwork and working in her greenhouse, making blankets for presents, selling Christmas Trees, playing bingo and family get togethers.

She is survived by her children, Carol Stockstad, Larry Olson, and Anton Olson; fifteen grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Duane (Ardis) Olson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Butch; daughter, Karen Ledbetter; granddaughter, Erica; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Lavern and Ronald Olson; and father of her children, Orville Olson.

A Celebration of Life for Cecilia will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November 27, 2020 in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, with a Gathering of Friends one hour prior to her service.

In accordance with CDC and local guidelines, social distancing and masks will be required for attendance. Cecilia's Life Celebration Service will also be live-streamed and the links can be found on her obituary page on the Korsmo Funeral Service website.
