Timothy "Tim" Barnes

Timothy "Tim" P. Barnes, 37, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, in Essentia Health, Fargo.
Timothy Peter Barnes was born February 21, 1979, the son of Richard and Mary (Otto) Barnes, in Fargo. He was raised in Casselton, ND, and attended Central Cass High School. Tim then lived in Fargo where he worked various jobs. In 2001, he attended the Job Corps in Minot, ND, where he learned the welding trade.
After completing his schooling, Tim moved back to Fargo and began working for DMI in Fargo. On May 5, 2005, he was united in marriage to Kari Blekken, in Las Vegas, NV, and to this union a beautiful daughter, Olivia, was born. Tim then went to work for Case IH in Fargo for many years and was recently working at Norwood Sales in Horace, ND. On Wednesday, September 14, 2016, Tim suffered a massive heart attack and traumatic head injury. Although we all prayed for a miracle, Tim now joins his father, Richard, niece, Faith and other family in heaven to be our angels and watch over us.
Tim loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, swimming and cutting wood. He also enjoyed spending time with family when he could, but his true pride and joy was his daughter, Olivia. Even though Tim was big in stature at 6 foot 5 and with his 17 inch shoe size, he will always be remembered for his gentle nature, kind heart and loving ways.
Tim will be dearly missed by his daughter, Olivia; significant other, Kari Barnes, Fargo; mother, Mary Barnes, Fargo; brothers, Stephen (Maria) Barnes, Fargo, and John Barnes, International Falls, MN; sisters, Rene (Reed) Oien, Finley, ND, Marie (Judd) Whitfield, Tucson, AZ, and Therese (Brad) Neumann, Fargo; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; and niece, Faith Barnes.
A Gathering of Friends for Tim will be Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a Time of Sharing at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead.
His Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 10:30 AM, in St. Leo Catholic Church, Casselton, ND.
Burial will be in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Casselton.
