Sybil Anderson, 77, Fargo, ND, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Sybil Joan Gunderson, the daughter of Roy and Alice Gunderson, was born in Hawley, MN, on Nov. 7, 1936. She grew up in Comstock, MN, where she graduated from high school. Sybil attended then graduated in 1958, from Concordia College, in Moorhead, MN.

On December 29, 1957, Sybil married Glenn A. Anderson, in Moorhead. While Glenn was in the service, the couple lived in Germany. They later made their home in Moorhead. Sybil first taught school in Sabin, MN, and then at Agassiz Junior High in Fargo. She retired in 1996. In 1998, Glenn and Sybil moved to Fargo. Glenn died in January of 1999.

Sybil loved to travel, read, and spend time with friends and family. During retirement, she worked as a hostess with Judy's Leisure Tours. While on a bus tour, she met and became a close friend with Robert "Bob" Dahm. In May of 2013, Sybil bravely began her battle with cancer.

Sybil is survived by her friend and companion, Bob Dahm, Fargo; her three children, Todd (Karleen) Anderson, Fargo, Candace (Paul) Wuebben, Perham, MN, and Jody (Kevin) Greuel, Moorhead; and six grandchildren, Shane and Jacob Anderson, Derek Liljequist, and Lucas, Rachel and Leah Wuebben.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 11 AM to 12 noon, with the funeral service at 12 noon, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.

In lieu of flowers or contributions, the family suggests you do a random act of kindness for a stranger.
