Roland Luebke

Roland H. Luebke, 91, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, February 28, 2015, in his home.
Roland Harold Luebke was born November 7, 1923, the son of Henry and Cornelia (Krause) Luebke. He was raised there attending country school and helped his father on the family farm. Roland then entered the U.S Army serving during WWII. After his discharge he moved to Moorhead where he began working at the VA Hospital in Fargo as a CNA.
On May 15, 1952, he was united in marriage to Eva Rothecker in Red Wing, MN. They made their home in Moorhead and he continued to work at the VA Hospital until retiring in 1983. After retirement he went to work at the Moorhead Country Club for over 15 years. Eva died August 18, 2010.
Roland enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports and going out dancing with Eva. He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first.
He is survived by his children, David Luebke, Eden Prairie, MN, and Arlene Luebke, Moorhead; grandchildren, Jason (Allison Finholdt) Mell, Fargo, and Ashley Mell, Chicago, IL; sisters, Evelyn Kidder, Fergus Falls, MN, and Lucille Harles, Fargo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva; brothers, Alvin, Raymond, and Harold "Sonny"; and sister, Marion.
A visitation for Roland will be one hour prior to his funeral service.
His funeral service will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 2 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
