Regina Mae Kabella was born Nov. 16, 1919, near Lidgerwood, ND, where she grew up and received her education. As a young lady, she moved to Minneapolis, MN, and worked at the Curtis Hotel.
On July 19, 1946, Regina married Vernon Winje. They made their home in Moorhead. Regina worked as a part-time sales clerk, at DeLendrecie's and Herbst department stores.
Vernon died in 1982. In her later years, Regina lived in south Fargo. She died on October 20, 2014, in Villa Maria, Fargo, at the age of 94.
Regina is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Rodney) Doepke, West Fargo, ND; her son, Wayne (Jackie) Winje, Moorhead; a sister, Mary Ann Harff, Wahpeton, ND; brothers, Tony and Clarence Kabella, both Wahpeton; three grandchildren; and one great-grand-daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents, Joseph and Emma (Korinta) Kabella; and four brothers, Joseph Jr., Albin, Gust and Wilfred Kabella.
Her funeral is Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 10 AM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. She will be buried at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
