Marian Kreps

Marian M. Kreps, age 82, Moorhead, MN, formerly of rural Felton, MN, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Marian Mae Herbold, daughter of Julius and Emma (Pfiefle) Herbold, was born November 18, 1933, in Venturia, ND, and grew up and received her education in Fargo. She was married to
Fred Kreps on March 14, 1953, in Fargo. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm south of Moorhead, and later moved to a farm near Felton, where they farmed for many years and raised their family of four children, Rebecca, Susan, Terry and Mathew.

Marian was a wonderful woman who loved and cared for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and baker, who will always be remembered for her homemade buns. Fred and Marian enjoyed the opportunity to travel. She loved her garden and was a Minnesota Twins fan.

Marian was preceded in death by her son, Terry; her parents; and a sister, Jeanne Arett. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred, Moorhead; daughters, Rebecca (Larry) Susic, Ellicott City, MD, and Susan (Rod) Wiger, Moorhead; a son, Mathew (Mary Jane) Kreps, rural Felton; a brother, Royal Herbold, Fargo; a sister, Shirley Harley, Fargo; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Monday, 4 PM to 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral is Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 11 AM in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Felton.

Burial will be in the Felton Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to either Roger Maris Cancer Center, or the Great Plains Food Bank, both Fargo.
