April 10, 1928 — September 18, 2014

Margaret "Fay" (Wipperling) Goodno, 86, died Thursday, September 18, 2014, in her home in Woodbury, MN.

Fay was born April 10, 1928, in New Rockford, ND, to Fred and Freda (Thaden) Wipperling. She lived on the family farm near Brantford, ND, until the death of her mother in 1932. She lived the next three years with the family of her uncle, Henry Thaden, on their farm in Nebraska. She returned to her father's farm when she was seven. She went to Columbia School before continuing her education at New Rockford High School where she graduated in 1946.

Fay married Paul Goodno on June 20, 1946, on the Wipperling farm near Brantford. They first farmed east of New Rockford in Tiffany Township. After "retirement," she assisted Paul with the family business, Moorhead Linoleum & Tile Co., and also worked for Kirby Company in Fargo.

Paul and Fay spent many hours at their lake place on Leaf Lake prior to his death on Easter Sunday in 1999. Fay loved spending time with her friends from Grace United Methodist Church in Moorhead, having lunch with the retired "Bank Ladies", volunteering with the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting
