Lyla E. DuBord, 96, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, October 27, 2014, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.
Lyla Edna Johnson, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Leebeck) Johnson, was born in Moorhead, on October 4, 1918. She grew up and received her education in Moorhead.
On July 21, 1941, Lyla married Robert G. DuBord, in Fargo, ND. Following their marriage, they made their home in Moorhead. Lyla enjoyed dancing and playing cards. Robert died on May 23, 1986.
After Robert's death, Lyla continued to live in Moorhead. In 2011, she became a resident of Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Dennis) Milsow, Mansfield, TX, and Pam (John) Baird, Hillsboro, ND; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Johnson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie; four sisters; and six brothers.
Lyla was buried in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead. A service may be held at a later date.
