Luverne Erickson

Luverne Clair Erickson was born August 17, 1944, in Moorhead, MN, to Oscar and Ellen (Larson) Erickson. The family lived in the Twin Valley and Ulen, MN, area until they moved to Moorhead in 1957.

Luverne worked for the City of Moorhead Parks Department until he joined Corwin-Churchill Automotive, Fargo, in the used car auto body department. He also worked for Steiger Farm Equipment, Fargo, and Concord Equipment/Amity Technology in their paint department.

Eventually, Luverne worked for Selland Motors until he moved to Rapid City, SD. He worked for Billion Kia, as a car jockey, until his health caused him to retire and move back to Moorhead in January of 2017. He entered Villa Maria, Fargo, in February of 2018, where he died Monday, May 21, 2018, at seventy-three years of age.

Luverne is survived by his siblings, Ornell (Shirley) Erickson, Moorhead, and Bonnie (Scott) Van Drew, Rapid City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Luverne will begin at 12 noon, followed by a funeral at 1 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2018, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Ulen.
