Linda Sadowsky

Linda (Dukart) Sadowsky, 64, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead, MN, where she was surrounded by the support of her family and friends during her short battle with lung cancer.

Linda was born on November 15, 1950, in Dickinson, ND, to Steve and MaryAnn (Huschka) Dukart. Her family traveled throughout her childhood, eventually settling in Fargo, ND. She graduated from Shanley High School in 1968.

Linda married Kerry Sadowsky on October 8, 1976. Together they have three children. They lived and raised their family in North Fargo. After the completion of building their dream lake home, they moved to Lake Lida, MN, for a few years, then moved to Moorhead five years ago.

Linda's role was always one of leadership and guidance. Linda ran an in-home daycare and taught ceramics classes while her children were young. When they were school-age, she worked for the ARC Thrift Store and volunteered at the Island Park Activity Center, where she was an active advocate for the disabled in our community. She was also a teller supervisor at Norwest Bank for several years.

Linda's hobbies and interests included everything from square dancing and playing guitar when she was younger, to writing children's stories when she was older. Most importantly, whether she was playing Pinochle and games, fishing with her grandchildren or traveling with her sisters and husband, Linda truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her husband, Kerry Sadowsky, Moorhead; her daughters, Cheri (Ralph) Abrahamson, Moorhead, and Tracy (Bennie) Sandhofner, West Fargo, ND; her son, Lonny (Amanda) Sadowsky, Fargo; ten beloved grandchildren; her sisters, Stephanie Seibold and Angela (Michael) Stoltman, Fargo; and several cherished nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and MaryAnn Dukart; and her brother, Donald Dukart.

A Visitation for Linda will be Wednesday from 5 PM until 7 PM with a 7 PM Prayer Service in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Her Memorial Mass will be Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 11 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.

Interment for Linda will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Columbarium, Moorhead.
