Joyce Danielson Aaserud

Joyce Yvonne Marlene Carlson was born February 8, 1932, in Fargo, ND, to Henry Bertinius Carlson and Ida Bertina (Korum) Carlson. She attended Fargo Central High School, and graduated in 1949.

Joyce married Robert Danielson on January 21, 1950, and they made their home in Moorhead, MN. Robert passed away in 1964. Joyce married Martin Aaserud on August 15, 1971. Martin passed away in 2006.

Joyce worked for the Moorhead School District for thirty-nine years as a lunch supervisor and crossing guard. She also worked for Wells Fargo for eighteen years and Ramada Inn. She was a very active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Joyce was known for her delicious caramel cinnamon rolls.

Joyce passed away in the presence of her family, on Monday, February 23, 2015, in Bethany on 42nd, Fargo, at eighty-three years of age.

Joyce is survived by daughters, Cheryl Frazier of Sioux Falls, SD, Glenda Fobes-Ziemer (Dennis Ziemer) of Reile's Acres, ND; and sons, Randy (Linda) Danielson of Woodbury, MN, Kevin "Buddy" (Elizabeth) Danielson of Walker, MN, and Steven (Paula) Danielson of Kindred, ND; twelve grandkids and six great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Danielson and Martin Aaserud; infant son, Ricky B. Danielson; and sons-in-law, Maurie Fobes and Dale Frazier.

There will be a prayer service Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 3 PM, in the chapel of Bethany on 42nd, Fargo. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, followed by a funeral at 11 AM, Thursday, February 26, 2015, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Burial will follow in Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead.
