Jerome "Jerry" Elledge

Jerome "Jerry" W. Elledge, 81, of Barnesville, MN, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Jerome Wilfred Elledge was born September 19, 1933, the son of Uriah and Margaret (Jay) Elledge, in Moorhead, MN. He was raised in Moorhead, attending St. Joseph's Grade School and Moorhead High School. In 1951, he entered the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Upon his discharge in 1955, he returned to Moorhead and worked for Larson Hardware.

On May 21, 1955, Jerry was united in marriage to Donna Garvey at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Fargo. He then attended Moorhead State University before reenlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1957. During his years of service, Jerry was stationed in various places in the United States, working as an aviation structural mechanic. He retired from the Navy in 1973 and, along with Donna, returned to Fargo. Jerry then worked for McLaughlin Equipment. In 1976, they settled in Barnesville, MN, and in the early 1980s he went to work as the store manager of the M & H in Wahpeton, ND, until retiring.

He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville. He enjoyed model trains, traveling, and his pet dogs.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna; children, Judy (Jeff Movolv) McBean, Dewey, AZ, Joe (Lynn) Elledge, Reiles Acres, ND, John (Sarah) Elledge, Oak Creek, WI, Teri Danielson, West Fargo, ND, and Jean (Terry) Krebs, Moorhead; grandchildren, Tony, Stephanie, Adrianne, Amy, Kenneth, Jerome, Tim, Jennifer, DJ, Josh, Nichole and Samantha; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenice; and son-in-law, Dan Danielson.

A Visitation for Jerry will be Monday from 5 PM until 7 PM with a 7 PM Prayer Service in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

His Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 11 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.

Burial for Jerry will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
