Gary "HOUSE" Williams, 43, of Fargo, ND, died on Saturday, February 24, 2018, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, after a two-year struggle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Gary Lee Williams Jr. was born March 4, 1974, the son of Gary L. and Rebecca (Majerus) Williams, in Fargo. Gary's father was in the military, so Gary was raised in various military installations, including Puerto Rico, South Carolina and Illinois. In 1990, the family moved to Fargo and Gary graduated from Fargo North High School in 1994.
Gary worked various jobs until 1997, when he became a custodian at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District. He worked there for 17 years until ill health forced him to retire. On April 19, 2002, he was united in marriage to Carrie Burnham in Glyndon, MN. They made their home in Fargo.
Gary was active and involved in Corecon, KNDS and Radio Free Fargo. He was a true friend to all that knew him and was known for being a gentle giant. He would have given the shirt off his back to help anyone out.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Burnham, Fargo; parents, Gary and Rebecca Williams, Colfax, ND; sister, Sara (John) Mueller, Fargo; niece, Savanna Williams, Fargo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Gary's Life will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 5 PM to 8 PM, at the Pizza Ranch, 4480, 23rd Ave. South, Fargo, ND.
