Dion Merle Topham, son of Merle and Charlene (Ritter) Topham, was born June 2, 1965, in Ada, MN.
At the age of 3, he was blessed to the family of Bennie and Lillian Willms. He grew up in Moorhead, graduated from Moorhead High School in 1984 and from technical college in Staples, MN.
Dion made his home in Moorhead. He worked at Ritz Photography in Fargo for a number of years. He enjoyed photography, and liked to play bingo, and loved going to rummage sales.
Dion lived in an apartment in Fargo until just recently.
Dion died on November 10, 2015, at the age of 50, in Essentia Health, Fargo.
He is survived by foster brothers, Dwight Willms and Edward (Rae) Willms, both Moorhead; mother, Charlene (Ron) Preuss, Texas; sisters, Debbie (Scott) Anderson, Fargo, and Deanna (Marvin) Carter, Texas; a brother, Casey (Courtney) Preuss, Texas; nieces and nephews, Ron, Justin, Derek, Samantha, Brandi, and Carys; aunts, Cindy and Denise; and uncles, Jim and Paul He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Bennie and Lillian; grandparents, Arlin and Helen Benson; foster brother, David; and Dwight's son, Jesse Western.
A memorial service will be held at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, on Monday, November 16, 2015, at 2 PM.
