Dale Nygard

Dale Gerald Nygard, 52, of Fargo, ND, was welcomed to his heavenly home on Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Fargo, after a courageous fight against cancer.
Dale was born September 4, 1962, in Minot, ND, the son of Jerry and Joann (Dick) Nygard. He graduated from Dilworth (MN) High School and from Minnesota State University, Moorhead.

He proudly served in the Navy as Machinist Mate Third Class. After his service, he made his home in Fargo, where he was employed at for 14 years at United Blood Services in the hospital service area as a technician, and as an expert trainer for new employees at numerous other centers. He was a Moose Lodge member, and a member of Disabled American Veterans.

Dale is survived by his mother Joann, Fargo; sister, Kathy, Abilene, TX; brother, Greg (CDR, US Navy), Pensacola, FL; stepmother, Eunice Nygard, Mill Creek, WA; stepsisters, Rebecca (Kyle) Beckett, Lynnwood, WA, and Ruth Carlson, San Diego, CA; and stepbrother, Scott (Stephanie Krush) Carlson, Litchfield Park, AZ. Also loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry, who died in 2008.

Memorial service will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, at 3 PM in First United Methodist Church, Fargo. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
