Carol Rensvold

Carol Marie Rensvold was born January 28, 1933, in rural Cass County, ND, to Arthur O. and Cora E. (Sundstad) Rensvold. She was baptized and confirmed at Nora Lutheran Church of rural Gardner, ND.

Carol attended elementary school at Noble # 108 in Cass County and graduated from Hendrum (MN) High School . She also attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. Carol spent her entire career at the Cass County ASC office, where she retired in 1989, after thirty-eight years of service.

Under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the Red River Valley, Carol passed away Monday, September 5, 2016, at Farmstead Care in Moorhead, MN, at eighty-three years of age.

Carol enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her many flowers. She also enjoyed painting, quilting and knitting. She knitted hundreds of caps for babies born at MeritCare (now Sanford Health) Hospital. She also volunteered many hours at Sanford as well as in the office of Hope Lutheran Church in north Fargo.

Carol is survived by two brothers, Howard (Darlene) Rensvold, Fargo, and David (Sandy) Rensvold, Seattle, WA; a sister, Eileen (Chuck) Leasure, Brooksville, FL; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Joyce Paul, Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alden; and a sister-in-law, Shirley, Grandin, ND.

Carol's family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for their extraordinary care and compassion shown to Carol and her family during this time. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or a charity of your choice.

Visitation for Carol will begin at 9 AM, followed by a funeral at 10 AM, Friday, September 9, 2016, at Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo. Burial will take place in Nora Lutheran Cemetery, rural Gardner.
