Alvin "Ben" Estrin

Alvin "Ben" Estrin was born May 8, 1939, on the family farm near Hawley, MN, to Oscar and Hilma (Nelson) Estrin. Ben was raised in that area where he attended school.

Ben lived in St. Paul, MN, for many years. He worked for Buckbee Mears as well as a radio announcer for a Christian radio station. He eventually returned to make his home in Moorhead, MN.

Ben died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in Sanford Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND, at seventy-six years of age.

Ben is survived by his sisters, Margaret Estrin, Hemet, CA, and Viola (Christ) Rozikes, White Bear Lake, MN; sister-in-law, Dolly Estrin, White Bear Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Evelyn Fureby, Pearl Rud, Gordon Estrin, and Ruth Kusserow Barnard.

Visitation will begin a 1 PM, followed by a funeral at 2 PM, Monday, August 24, 2015, in Hawley (MN) Alliance Church. Burial will follow in Hawley Cemetery.
