Message:
My sympathy goes to all the family. I never knew Helen personally but talked with her on the phone when we planned our Bergh Reunions in the past. Her mother, Irene, was a first cousin of my father, Orville Bergh.

Message: To the Wickland Family,
Helen and my sister, Bunny were good friends. They had a "gang" that remained friends long after high school. So, being nine years younger, I often tagged along with Bunny and Helen. My memories of your wife/Mom/Grandma include her great smile, her infectious laughter and her constant friendship to my sister. I know God welcomes her with open arms and a grin!

Message: David and family, You have my deepest sympathy. Bunny let me know about Helen. God must have wanted her more than we did. He must have wanted someone who giggles a lot (she had such an infectious laugh) and could tell good jokes. I have known her for many, many years. We taught Sunday School lessons to the tiny tots at First Lutheran Church after we graduated from High School. I will miss her terribly.

Message: Dear David, Greg, Susan, and Kathy,
Our love goes out to you. To us Helen was hugs and joy and we will miss her terribly. Storms, distance, and work all meant many of us missed being around her as much as we wanted. So, hopefully, the wonderful times that you had together will help you in this sadness. All our love and prayers to you.

Message: It was a fortunate day for me when Helen started coming to my hair salon on Pelican Lake. We became fast friends and her weekly visit became a ritual of jokes, laughter, recipe exchanges and just fun conversation over a cup of coffee and a few cookies. We were joined in our beauty shop fun by LaVonne Lundeen, Norma Coleman and Grandma Johnson. After returning to to my teachng career in Detroit Lakes, I closed my salon. I missed seeing Helen every week. Her positive and upbeat personality and kind spirit will always be fondly remembered. It has been said,"friends are kisses blown to us by angels". Now, Helen is my heavenly friend, and I know she will continue the legacy of blowing kisses to her friends here on earth. My sympathy to you, Dave, and your family. God bless and love to you all. Kathy Simison

Message: David and Family, Aunt Pat and I extend our deepest sympathy. We were honored to meet Helen and David only once at Laughlin, Nevada in 2000. It was through a genealogist in Moorhead, Minnesota that we found Pat's Niece, Helen Wicklund. Helen told us that she always had wondered if there were some of her father's family somewhere.
Helen ws so much like her biological Grandmother, Susie Pearl's happy wit and temperment.
