I will always remember Toms and all the fun we would have in chat as well as IM's especially discussing martini times (Oh how he loved his martinis) and looked forward for he and Art coming to San Francisco so I could show them the sites and enjoy a great dinner overlooking the Golden gate. I know that Tom is in a better place even though it's hard knowing he's not here with us.

From: Nick/Cathy

My deepest sympathy to Tom's family. We spent many hours online chatting, as well as several hours on the phone, and I was fortunate enough to meet Tom a few times. He was a generous, funny, interesting person to be around. I am thankful that he and Bob shared their life and home with me. "You've gone from me, I cannot touch you now, But I can hold you in my heart." May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

His wit was often enjoyed by many at the court house. Sally, James, the Judge and I will miss him. Rest in Peace knowing that your friends will see you again some day! Revis

From: Jim I.

Port St Lucie,  FL

Message:
My Dear Friend, Tom, how I miss you today. In my mind I hear your voice and I know what you’d say; “Think of me often, until our lives cross again, live life to its fullest, you’ll find love from within.” In such a short time, you earned our love, our admiration; you blessed our lives with true friendship and inspiration. Never such qualities had we known in a man, you touched our lives in a way no one else can. You enriched our lives in a way I could never explain, you helped mend hearts that were filled with such pain. You said life was worth living, always a new dawn, your strength gave us courage and the will to go on. Then in a single instant, for you, no tomorrow, for us, no good-bye, only regrets and deep sorrow. In our Lord’s hands, I pray, your soul He will keep, and grant you everlasting peace, thoughout your eternal sleep. We'll remember your laughter, your warmth, and your love, as we gaze at the stars that you gave us above. You live on in our heart, but not just within. We'll always feel your presence in the warm, gentle wind.

From: Jessi and Robin

Minneapolis,  Mn

Message:
Tom and Bob were going to meet up with us in the Twin Cities so many times but it was not to be. Tom came from Houston and had many common memories from back there. We visited many times from afar, and you will be missed. We love you both so very much. This life is better for having known Tom and Bob both and Tom will be deeply missed. In a song by the Flirtations, it is said that "the measure of of one who is gone is the love they leave behind." By that measure, Tom ranks very high indeed. {{{Bob}}} for the days and weeks ahead.

A touch of spirit across miles, and a banter for a time, and now the veil comes down. Until later Tom. ³Valley¹s deep and the mountains so high, if you want to see God you have to move on the other side. You stand up there with your head in the clouds, don't try to fly, you know you might not come down. Don't try to fly near God, you know you might not come down ...² Barkley James Harvest.

Many have passed through our chatrooms here on AOL...some have stayed awhile and became my friends. But Tom, dear, sweet, kind Tom who I never saw say an unkind word to anyone, touched my heart. I was always glad to see him pop up on my buddy list, and disappointed if he signed off without coming into the room to chat. Tom left footprints on my heart, and I will miss him deeply.

From: Corine

Message:
Our deep sympathy Bob, in the loss of Tom. The short amount of time since we met you and Tom, will always remain in a joy in our hearts. Unfortunely, circumstances didn't allow me to attend Tom's memorial service on Sunday. Tom prepared several meals for our families at the Ronald McDonald House. Sharing his gourmet cooking, brought such smiles, and happiness to our families, and staff. I'm so greatful for knowing Tom, if only for a short time. Bob, please extend our sympathy to Tom's mom and other friends as well. Bob, hope our paths will cross again at a later date. Corine and ALL staff at the Ronald McDonald House.
