Message: Hello Everyone, Just read Rodney's obit and wanted to send my condolences to all his family especially his Mom & Dad & sisters. Just got off thephone w/brother Butch in Denver & he told me a story about when he & Rodney were little kids that Uncle Delbert & my Dad Wayne would go pheasant hunting & Rodney & Butch were their dogs who would scare up the birds for them! We got a chuckle out of that! So I am sharing that story. I too have many fond memories of growing up together and I thank you for them. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. Love, Putts

Message: I am sorry to learn about Rod's death and really hoping that he was going to recover. I guess if I were in Fargo right now, I would have gone up to the hospital and encouraged Rod to recover from his illness.
I know how happy he was to retire from the VA and ready to enjoy his retirement with his wife.
I am the LPN that worked the ward on 3rd floor and Rod was our janitor. I was the one that performed the heimlock procedure when Rod was choking on his pills by the kitchen sink and Rod never forgot that incident.
I am terribly sorry for Rod's wife and parents. This is too bad that it happened.
Take care,
marilyn poole

Message: I am not in Fargo at the moment or I would be giving Anne a big hug. I close my eyes and easily see Rod's smiling face, joking voice, and zeal for life. He would talk to me about retirement often and was so looking forward to enjoying life in retirement.
I am so sad he died but I take comfort in a "Master Plan" and take comfort in my memories of Rod. Anne, all my best and I will give you a hug when I am back in Fargo.
God Bless!

Message: Anne and family I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Rodney for many years and truley enjoyed him as a person. We used to talk in the hall ways or the break room, and Rodneys talk would relax me so, it was because he himself was so relaxed. We talked alot about his shop that he was getting ready for retirement, the new heater he put in so he could stay warm over the winter. Rodney also had nothing but good things to say about Anne, his mother and father, and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you Anne and all of Rodneys family.

Message: I am very sorry to hear about uncle Rod. I will miss our random conversations during holiday events and catch up on life. I enjoyed hearing about his recent travel adventures and of course how much he loved being retired :)
I feel I spent my entire childhood growing up with Uncle Rod nearby.. from family events, fishing at the lake or enjoying an unplanned night at grandma and grandpa's.
My sympathy goes out to Anne, Curtis, Kevin, Grandma and Grandpa and the entire family. I am sorry I cannot make it back for the funeral, but I give my love and best wishes to everyone.
Every time I see a pizza hut I am reminded of all the gift certificates Rod gave to me when I was younger and it puts a smile on my face.
love michael

Our sympathies on your loss of Rodney! I told Dad (Willard) about it after we got the call from Marvin. We have been reminiscing since that time. Dad is home bound so we won't get down for the funeral, but I hope to be at the burial. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. John & Willard & Jane

Message: Delbert, Dulice, Debbie & Karen and all of Rodney's family - you are in our thoughts and prayers today. Thank you for the childhood memories of visits both to and from Chisholm. I have a vivid image of Rodney sitting with aunts and uncles at Harold and Evy's restaurant in West Fargo for a Thanksgiving feast. The Reitmeier clan has quite a legacy. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures of Rodney and family on the website. May you cherish and enjoy those memories as you lay Rod to rest today and for the years to come. Many hugs and tears from Cousin / Niece, Dianne (Ivanca) Halfen and also cousins Bob and Patti

Message: To our beloved brother, Rod. Don and I will truly miss you, Rod!! You were the best brother and brother-in-law we could've ever asked for! You were so full of life, generous, loving, and you had the biggest heart ever...:) Thanks for all the great memories on every Holiday, Birthday, and special Anniversaries, too, and especially for your love to our wonderful parents that so dearly miss you already!!! Your care and concern for your boys over the years was very sincere and genuine and they, too, will miss their beloved Dad. Our hearts are very heavy as we lay you to rest and say our goodbyes for now. We will meet up again later, I'm certain, Rod. I will always remember your laughter and your cute dimpled nose when you had a really good hardy laugh going!! We love you so much and will always do so...Rest in Peace, Rod!! God bless your soul. Love from your sister, Deb and brother-in-law, Don
