Rodney D. Reitmeier
![]() Click to view the video tribute for Rodney Rodney Delbert Reitmeier was born March 10, 1954, to Delbert and Dulice (Casavan) Reitmeier, in Saginaw, MI. The family moved to Moorhead when Rodney was four years of age. Rodney graduated from Moorhead High School in 1972 and then entered the US Army. He was stationed in Germany for a time. Following his discharge, Rodney received a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration from Moorhead Technical School. He was married to Nancy Monroe at one time. Rodney was united in marriage to Anne Marie Carter on September 20, 2003, in Fargo, ND, and they continued to make their home in Moorhead. Rodney worked for many years in the environmental services department at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fargo, ND. He retired on April 3, 2009. Rodney had many projects in his shop following his retirement. He enjoyed working in the yard, planting and clearing trees, fishing and camping with his family. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the DAV. Rodney died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, at fifty-five years of age. Rodney is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Carter Reitmeier, Moorhead; two sons, Curtis Rodney Reitmeier, Warren, MN, and Kevin Michael (Crystal) Reitmeier, Climax, MN; father and mother, Delbert and Dulice Reitmeier, Dilworth, MN; two sisters, Deborah (Don) Hersrud, and Karen (Darryl) Hersrud, both Moorhead; two nephews, Michael (Polie Campiteli) Hersrud and Scott (Sally) Hersrud; and one niece, Stacy Hersrud. Visitation for Rodney will be Thursday, November 5, 2009, from 5 – 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. There will be no reviewal at the church. His funeral will be Friday, November 6, 2009, at 10:30 AM, at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial, with full military honors, will be Friday at 2:30 PM, in Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston, MN.
