Delores "Dody" Anderson, 72, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, September 10, 2009. Dody was born August 23, 1937, to John and Mathilda (Schauer) Albrecht in Ashley, ND. She moved to the Fargo area in 1942 and graduated from Fargo Central High School. Dody and Clinton “Clint” Anderson were married in Eden Praire, MN, on April 10, 1960. Together they raised three daughters and a son in Fargo.

Dody is survived by her husband of almost fifty years, Clint of Fargo; four children: Jody Anderson of Maple Grove MN, Judy (Bill) Vogel of Moorhead MN, Mike (Rhea) Anderson of Parkville MO, and Kristin (Scott) Obowa of Moorhead; four grandchildren: Billy Vogel, and Collin, Brandon and Katie Obowa; sister: Ella (Lauren) Olson of Eden Prairie MN; nephews: David Olson and Lewis Seibold; nieces: Kerry Meades, Dawn Hawley , Pam Seibold, Diane Barron and Marsha Keyes; sisters-in-law: Myrtle Runck and June Anderson; and a brother-in-law: Seth (Marge) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Alvina Seibold; brothers-in-law: Albert Seibold, Alfred Anderson and George Anderson; sister-in-law, Ruth Sprint; niece: Joyce Anderson; and nephew, Eddie Runck.

Dody’s family was always precious to her. Her children were her main focus in life. She raised them to be physically, mentally, and spiritually sound. Mom’s gift for good advice and common sense was always appreciated... eventually. She never gave up on her husband and was still working on “raising” him.

Dody’s grandchildren were an amazing joy to her. She loved to share in their laughter and innocent antics. They knew Grandma was someone special with her endless love and endless suckers in the cabinet. And taking a ride on Billy’s golf cart always put a huge smile on her face.

We cannot leave out her love and adoration for her two dogs, Kokoa and Lexy. They were her constant companions through the good times and not so good times.

Besides spending a significant amount of time as “Mom’s Taxi”, Dody enjoyed numerous crafts, reading, bowling, dancing, sewing, baking, cooking, playing cards and spending quality time with relatives and friends.

Dody will be missed by all who knew her. We now put her life in God’s hands and cherish the memories we have of her.

A Gathering of Friends will be Tuesday, September 15, 2009, from 5 - 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

A Celebration of Life Service will be in the Korsmo Chapel on Tuesday at 7 PM.
